What is Cheap Drivers Ed?

Cheap Drivers Ed is an affordable Online Driver Education Program for California students and/or parents who want comprehensive driving instruction. Our Online Driver Education Course meets DMV guidelines for earning a Certificate of Completion to qualify for an instruction permit. Our program provides a convenient, internet home-based environment that allows parents to oversee and interact with their newest drivers without the distractions of a traditional classroom Driver Ed course. Traditional courses can take a full semester or longer to complete, but with Cheap Drivers Ed students can take our course at their own pace.

Cheap Drivers Ed is also proud to offer a $14.95 Generic Course of Instruction to assist both teens and adults in their pursuit of traffic safety knowledge. While this course does not encompass state-specific traffic laws, or offer state approved certificates of approval, it does offer extensive Rules-of-the-Road and Driving Environment background information. Coupled with a Driver's Handbook from your local state DMV, it will assist in preparing you to obtain your license, or help experienced drivers to 'Brush Up' on their knowledge.

How does Cheap Drivers Ed work?

Once enrolled you or your student(s) follow an Online Driver Education Course, which is constantly updated to the latest legislation. Our course is also designed to give new drivers a greater comprehension of the driving laws. Our course is also designed to facilitate you or your young drivers learning process. Young students will have the opportunity to read the material relative to their course with access to assistance from their parents, as well as being able to contact our staff for any clarification they might require from the privacy of their own home.

How will Cheap Drivers Ed help me get my permit?

Our Certificates of Completion forms are issued upon successful completion of our Online Driver Ed Course. That, along with a Certificate of Enrollment in Driver Training Form from a local Driving School will qualify you or your student(s) to take the written test at the DMV to obtain the Provisional Instruction Permit (or "Learners Permit")
